On 10-12 October 2012, employees of the National Research and Development Institute for Environmental Protection Chem. Radu Violeta-Monica, Eng. Iacobescu Emilia Gabriela and Adrian Lungu participated in the 10th edition of the ECOMEDIU fair organized by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Arad under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment and Forests. This event was a good opportunity for exposure to the latest technologies, the exchange of information in science, practices and experiences in Environmental Protection, attending organizations like the National Environmental Protection Agency, Environment Fund Administration, National Administration "Romanian Waters", "Vasile Goldis" Western University, SC RETIM Ecologic Service SA, REMAT SA, Technical College of Construction and Environmental Protection Arad Romanian Association of Sanitation, EURO Envirotech Ploiesti, Mures Floodplain Natural Park, ROSENC Timisoara, etc.

During the fair ECOMEDIU Arad also occurred the International Conference 'Practices and experiences in environmental protection" where they presented solutions for efficient use of resources in the Romanian economy and the potential for renewable energy to reduce environmental impact, some of the topics discussed in the conference was "Romanian initiatives towards a green economy" (Ministry of Environment), "Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy" (ROSENC), challenges a greener future (DENKSTADT Romania), waste management situation (ARS), etc.

In the same period was also held the International Workshop FP7 project - Promotion and coordination of Environmental Research in Central and Eastern Europe for a sustainable Development with the support of the Enterprise Europe Network - PROCEED, which were discussed issues such as Environmental Policy Priorities Romanian by Mrs Carmen Neagu, Ministry of Environment and Forests, SWOT analysis report on dissemination and exploitation of results in Central and Eastern Europe - PROCEED presented by Ms Simona Rataj-Slovenia Chamber of Commerce, the project SOILCAM - FP7 under "best Practices into FP7 projects "presented by Ms. Cristina Sirbu - INCDPM.
